The idea behind folder sync
The Windows client follows changes between a selected local folder and your FileUSB space. Instead of manually uploading after every edit, the client manages transfers. Sync needs a connection, so offline changes may not appear on another device yet. Checking the client’s completion state is more meaningful than simply seeing a filename in the local folder.
Start with a narrow scope
Create Windows access through My Devices and follow the panel’s official client link. Use the device-specific password only in that intended client. For your first sync, choose a folder containing a few non-critical files. Check selective sync so only the folders you want are selected; do not assume your whole disk is backed up. Local disk space and online quota are separate limits.
Handle interruptions and conflicts calmly
After an internet interruption, check the client again when connectivity returns. Avoid making the problem harder by manually uploading many alternative copies. Distinguish a quota warning from a connection failure: an oversized collection needs a space decision before it can finish. If a document changed on different devices, a conflict copy may appear. Compare both contents before deciding which is correct; automatically deleting one could lose work.
Sync is not a backup
Deleting a file from a synced folder may remove it on the other side too. Keep a separate independent copy outside that sync for important content. If a device is lost, revoke its access in the panel; revocation does not remotely erase files already downloaded to its disk. Downloading and checking a small example file helps you understand the workflow.
