Use your account password only on the FileUSB sign-in screen. Protect access to your email too: verification and password reset messages go there. Sign out when finished on a shared computer. Revoke a lost device in My Devices and avoid reusing its generated password on another device.
HTTPS protects the connection during transfer. That does not mean every file is inside a Private Vault that only your personal key can unlock. Private Vault and advanced version features have not been opened beyond the existing limited test group. We do not advertise those features as part of general storage.
Sharing responsibly
Send a sharing link only to the intended recipient. An optional password and expiry help limit future access. A downloaded copy can remain with the recipient; closing the link does not recall it. With FileDrop, close the upload route once expected files have arrived. The sharing and FileDrop page explains these two situations separately.
Separate copies and clear limits
Do not keep the only copy of a critical file in a limited beta service. Before removing a local copy, verify another copy can be opened elsewhere. Trash and sync alone are not an independent restore guarantee. Follow expiry and deletion conditions in the live offer description. If you notice a security issue, tell support which page and time were involved without disclosing any secrets.
