Understand what takes up space
Before clearing phone storage, look separately at large videos, photos and documents. A filename does not tell you whether this is the only copy. Decide which album to transfer and choose a destination folder that preserves a useful structure. When moving private or irreplaceable content, plan another copy in a separate trusted location. An online transfer alone is not a safety guarantee.
Upload in manageable batches
Sign into FileUSB in the browser and use Upload. Start with a few files, checking quota and connection. If using mobile internet, consider your data allowance. Wi-Fi does not guarantee an uninterrupted transfer either. Treat the online copy as present only after a successful upload, not immediately after selection. A browser transfer may pause when the phone locks or puts the browser in the background, so check the result.
Verify before deleting anything
After uploading, download and open a sample photo and video from the panel. For video, check that it plays rather than relying on a thumbnail. Compare the file count with the batch you selected. Handle missing or failed files separately. Before removing a phone copy, confirm that another independent copy is accessible too. FileUSB is a limited beta and should not be your only archive.
Build a repeatable routine
